About us

The Red Mountain Press intends to contribute to community-building by promoting local business and the local arts culture in Birmingham, in particular, as well as Alabama and the Southeastern United States. We are excited to see the emergence of local businesses (with the distinction between profit and non-profit not being essential), and we would like to promote their growth in Birmingham. Other related areas of interest include Alabama history and new and innovative approaches to schooling and healthcare.

We also publish a wide variety of alternate media reports, together with foreign media items that may not always have broad circulation in the U.S.
